@dapaze I do not have enough technical knowledge to be able to help you as you wish, but, I will try to answer considering what I know:

      • Its volume adapter, according to the description, works on Windows and MAC, and Recalbox is based on linux, so I believe that it is not compatible, due to the lack of drivers (if it doesn't even work on linux, it doesn't work on Recalbox).

If you want to test other alternatives, these links may help you:

thanks my issue has been fixed.

@dapaze said in Can't connect from mac using SMB:

I'm using the latest 7.1.1 download, and I'm trying to connect to recalbox via SMB://recalbox so I can use the web manager tool to transfer roms, and it won't connect using these steps:

      1. Looking at the Network settings in Recalbox, both the STATUS and IP ADDRESS are showing NOT CONNECTED.
      2. When I try connecting to recalbox on my mac using smb://recalbox, I get an error... "There was a problem connecting ..."

I double checked that recalbox and my mac are sharing the same wifi.

thanks my issue has been fixed.

    • RE: customization of Recalbox

@cri1305 said in customization of Recalbox:

      Hello,
I'm the happy owner of a brand new recalbox, after an old one which was based on RPi3 and Recalbox v4.1.

I built it up from scratch, using RecalBox 7.0.1, a RPi4 connected to a 1TB SSD through USB3, and an USB hub to get 'free' USB sockets in front face of a printed home made case.
This case is integrating a 60mm PWM Fan for the PI, as it seems that it is mandatory now for the PI4 (the old one had a fan, but not pwm, and I choose PWM kind due to the noise generated).

I connected the PWM control of the fan to a PWM GPIO of the RPi (through a buffer), and write a quick C code using Pigpio library to control it from the CPU temperature, using HW PWM feature.

However, when came the time of compiling and testing this code, I get stuck by the lack of capacity to install the needed programs (headers, gcc, pigpio....).

is it a way to install something on the recalbox ? I did not even find an apt-get or similar.

      Regards

thanks for the awesome question, my issue has been fixed.
