Hello everyone. I am having some strange issues with Ikaruga for the Dreamcast on the ODROID-XU4.

The game starts totally normal but after the beginning of Chapter 1 (about 40 seconds after starting to play) the ship will freeze but the game will continue to run but you can not move anymore. You also are invincible and no bullets or ships can hit or damage you and the game just will continue to run like that.

This issue happens about 9 out of 10 times.

At first I thought I had a broken a broken ROM so I tried a different one. That also did not work so I ripped the game myself with httpd-ack. Same issue. So it is not a game/image issue but an emulator issue.

Unfortunately I did not see anyone having the same problem.

All other emulators work without any issues. It just affects Ikaruga on the Dreamcast.

Any ideas?

I am running the most recent version of recalbox on an ODROID-XU4 and I am using a PS3 Controller.

I tested your old recalbox image with my Sega CD images - it works! So it is not an issue with my hardware or my images.

I have no idea why but it works. Since you confirmed the same issue with the new recalbox image I guess something broke on the latest release.

Yes, it was your stick. I saw some other Games. PSP did work, Sega CD had the same error. I am pretty sure it was booting from USB because the language was french

I made another test and tried the retroOS "batocera". Sega CD did work there. How frustrating...

Maybe there where different Odroid C2 Hardware revisions?

Thanks for your link and guess what: Sega CD also does not work with your image. So I am totally at a loss now. Do you have any idea what could be the reason?

I did some more testing. I still have a few Raspberrys here so I ran some tests with a Raspberry Pi 3 - everything works with the recalbox version for Raspberry. So it is not an Image or BIOS issue but definitely an Odroid C2 version issue.

I can also confirm, that the latest Odroid C2 version has no 32x folder.

So I guess I have to wait until or if the next Odroid C2 version gets a fix for those issues.

Its unfortunate that the Odroid C2 does not get the same support as the Raspberry (in general). It is even more powerful then the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ making it a great small retrosystem

I do not have a folder named "sega32x" - maybe 32x support got removed in the latest recalbox release for the C2?

Is there a way to obtain an older version of recalbox? The website only shows the newest release.

Maybe an older version will work with Sega CD better so I would try that first. Can anybody give me a link for the 18.03.16 Odroid C2 version?

It still puzzles me because the images I made do work with a different system, so I do not think the images are the issue.
