I am interested in trying to emulate two GBAs to try out Multiplayer in several games. However, I apparently do not have the core found on tutorials (tgbdual). Am I missing something?

Hi tgbdual is GB/GBC core, not a GBA core.
For the moment there no GBA core able to play multiplayer games.
