N64 Controller problems

Hi,

I have four PS3-Controllers. There are working finde with every emulator except N64.

Before I start mario kart, i check whether all four controllers are working fine and are connected. Immediatley after starting the game, a few conrollers a loosing their connection, sometimes every controller is loosing the connection. I have to restart n64 emulator a lot to have a chance that 2 controllers are working.

Does somebody have a hint?

I am using RPi3, thank you!
