Is the XBOX 360 Wireless Reciever compatible?

First off, I am not sure where this goes, so sorry in advance. I plan on buying an official XBOX 360 Wireless reciever for my Raspberry Pi 3 running recalbox soon, but I dont want to waste my money if it isnt compatible. I have no experience compiling and do not want to make a custom build of Recalbox so if it is compatible on the default installation that would be awesome. If somebody could confirm this that would be awesome.

I bought a second hand XBOX 360 recently and it came with the wireless receiver (the grey rectangle with the 2 anteenas). I tried plugging it into my Pie3 with Recalbox but it didn't seem to work for me. I ended up buying a cheap $10 third party receiver instead.

But maybe others have gotten theirs to work?

@rockaddicted Lol yep that one. I picked up a 360 at a garage sale recently and it came with that and the guy said it was some kind of adapter and I assumed it was a controller adapter.
