Transfer over network between 2 pi's

I purchased a second PI and I currently have them both hooked up to my router, via Ethernet cables. One PI has a modified setup and i'm trying some things out so I can't just write an image. How can I transfer my roms and settings without having to use an intermediary computer/hard drive/wireless network between the two to get the fastest and cleanest transfer going? Recal doesn't have a file manager from what I can tell that works like kodi (also can't use kodi's fm because always gives me access rights issues).
