Mame and NeoGeo emulation not working (V4.0 b3 using Pi 3)

Hi guys, hope you're well. Can anyone help me, I simply cannot get any Mame or NeoGeo roms to work. I've followed all the instructions included in the recalbox roms folder text file, I'm trying to run 0.78 mame roms which I'm told are the most compatible, I've tried using the NeoGeo roms from the site the recalbox guys suggest. I really don't know what to do next. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated as I'm itching to play some 2 player arcade fighting games.   Tim
