Hello! I've spent the last few days refining my Recalbox build but cannot figure out how to get MAME to save key mapping changes. I have a PS3 arcade stick with 8 buttons aside the joystick. One of them functions as R2. Every arcade rom I open up has the Config Menu key defaulted to Tab & R2 Is there a way to get my config changes to save properly, or a file I can edit to make L3 the Config Menu? Thanks -Nick

Hi, what is your recalbox version ? Because now, diagnostic menu, in MAME emulator, is mapped on L3 button. By the way, if you want to customize your mapping, you must use a manual configuration. Automatic configuration used by default will overwrite your custom mapping. So check this wiki : https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Custom-controller-mapping-for-specific-system-(EN)

I'm running f4.0.0-build10 dated 2016/02/23 I'm using a 0.78 romset loaded under the "mame" rom folder. I know that I can swap the R2 / L3 keys in the input menu, but I would prefer to have the diagnostic menu default button be L3 at startup. Im not sure why, but it is currently defaulting to "Tab or RetroPad1 R2"

@first-last I managed to "demap" the open menu button (tab or R2)... Let me know if you figure things out.
