Screen Blinking Off
-
Hi. I'm a total noob when it comes to any tech stuff. But here goes. A friend of mine made me a little rasberry pi machine, thats why I'm here. It was working great for the first couple of days, but now I see there's this blinking issue when I start playing games. It almost seems like its resetting what screen size it should be or something. Also on top of that, it will just turn off completely. Is there something in the settings that I'm not aware of?

Hello, Is your RPI overclocked? If it is, you should try to put it back to normal speed (via system menu) and try again.

Hi nosfay. Thank you for the reply. I actually do not have it overclocked. I have it set to the 900 option.I actually just tried overclocking it right now and it still does the constant blinking. I really don't know why it started doing this. Again, I never delve into this kind of stuff, but I really want this to work.

Is your screen OK? Have you try with an other ?

Hi. Yes, my screen is fine. I watch tv and have ten other systems hooked up to it with this issue not happening.
-
Just try a different screen.

Ok, I hooked it up to my old Sony tube hdtv and it works great. So I'm guessing there is some issue with the config settings on the pi trying to connect to my current lcd hdtv. Is there something I should try with the config settings?

You can try to change your resolution or frequency in recalbox.conf https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/recalbox.conf-(EN)

Yup. Just started looking at that thread. I'm afraid to try anything to mess up my current settings since I suck at anything type of programing. Wish me luck!
