How to backup favourites?

Hi,

I'm having issues with my current Recalbox system and I'm not sure what the problem is yet. Maybe it is software related, since I testes a lot with the recalbox configs possibilities, but also it can be a hardware (overheating) issue.

For further testing I would like to save my hard work, setting my favourite games for my favourite emulators.

So for further problem analysis I simply would like to reflash the 32GB image I flashed previously and which was running quite good for some time. With this step I'll loose my favourite lists. I couldn't find any topic in this forum explaining if it is possible to backup/restore those settings. So here I am asking you :-)

@temmyn favorites are stored in the gamelist.xml for each system

Thanks, so you say I simply can replace it? Isn't this file being generated new on every boot up?
What happens if the the file contains entrys which are not in the file structure?

@temmyn they are just ignored but bo not activate gamelist only option
