Can anybody help me, my chd roms are not showing up in my rom folder.
-
@deletedaccount how did you make the roms show up in emulation station, I added them to my roms folder and there not showing up, I did everything else listed above. It will play normal bin/cue files fine, but I have a complete chd rom set.
-
@abunille why aren't my chd files showing up in emulation station, there in my sega cd rom folder. Thank for any help.
-
@rommel1940 You need to edit the es_system.cfg file. Find the emulator segacd and where you see the line with supported file types just add .chd and .CHD
Like that the system will check for this type of file and find the chd iso. If you've added the correct bios with the correct md5 and correct name they will launch and play just perfectly.
Have fun

chd for segacd will be in the next release
-
@substring how come the previous poster says they got it to work?
-
@rommel1940 as he explained, just need to edit a file
-
@substring sorry nust seen that, where is that file and how do I acess it. Thanks
-
@rommel1940 see https://forum.recalbox.com/post/90734
The file is in
/recalbox/share_init/system/.emulationstation
You must first
mount -o remount, rw /
-
@substring you mean put tne sdcard in my computer?
-
@rommel1940 if you're asking such questions, I guess you'd better wait for the update
-
@substring I know we're close, I have the sd card in the computer, I got the ledvand light switch to work, I judt can't find what you talking about.please tell me were to acess and edit file, thank you
-
@rommel1940 you can not edit this file on your PC, but through network. Check for winscp + recalbox SSH access, there are plenty of tutorials. And I still believe you're making a mistake trying to do this on your own as you have no idea of what you are doing
-
@substring I know how to get in from my network, I have to learn, no real damage I can do. Thanks
-
@substring yeah not as easy as I though, I got putty and I can't figure it out, not noob friendly
-
@rommel1940 putty is one of the lost easy thing out there so listen to @substring and wait for the update.
Or read the manual, the wiki, watch tutorials and make at least a little effort to learn (easy) things by yourself, this the recalbox support forum, not a computer handling 101 mooc
-
@voljega I just installed my first recalbox image, I am trying , a forum is to help, not be a asshole! I got retropie figured out just fine, I wonder why that's more successful. Maybe its asses like you and the moderator who think something that's more complicated than it needs to be is easy for a first time user.
-
The file is in the RECALBOX partition
/recalbox/share_init/system/.emulationstation/es_system.cfg
I access it by plugging my SD card in the computer. I'm on a mac and I use Paragon extFS to access the content because it's a linux ext3 partition.
On Windows I think you can access it with a software called Partition Guru. Haven't tried myself.
Hope this helps.
-
@rommel1940 insulting people won't get you anywhere.
what you're being told is not "being more complicated than it needs" it's the simplier and easiest way to do this thing and you would see it if you were willing to learn a little by yourself, but I guess it's more easy for you to worship nazi generals.
