Solved MAME games like Soul Calibur (Arcade), Fighting Vipers or Marvel vs Capcom won't start

Hi,

how you run MAME games like the ones mentioned in the subject? Or are 3d games out of scope for MAME on a Raspberry Pi with Recalbox?

I leave the games in the ZIP file and put them in the MAME folder. Any other thing I should do? Any bios files missing I am not aware of?

@marcdk out of scope in pi 3 regarding performances and not working anyway on older mame version... not supported in FBA_Libretro as far as I remember

Just play them on PSX or Dreamcast

• PSX: Soul Edge/ Soul Blade
• Arcade/Mame: Soul Calibur Arcade (based on PSX hardware)
• Dreamcast: Remaster of Soul Calibur Arcade. Technologically a different and much better looking game. Because of that much more demanding for emulation.

Soul Calibur Arcade runs on MAME64Ui. Any idea if this is somehow supported in Libreto?

@marcdk Now I understand: The raspberry Pi is stuck with an old MAME version. For everyone who comes here because of google:

That is a compatibility list for MAME in Recalbox and these games I mentioned are not supported.
