Custom GPIO pins map for controllers/ mk_arcade_joystick_rpi

Hi, i have been using raspberry pi zero w to run recalbox(latest), the problem i want to connect the gpio controller and stereo audio output simultaneously, but the pins of controller in conflicted with the pins that should be used for audio output (Pin 18 and Pin13) as shown below:

and the layout of gpio pin controller conflicted with player 1 'Y' button:

The questions is there a way to have custom gpio pins map for the player 1 controller? , i have tried the step for custom gpio in this link :https://github.com/recalbox/mk_arcade_joystick_rpi/blob/hotkeybtn/README.md#pinout , but doesnt seem to work with buildroot recalbox, its does not recognize the command.
