[RELEASE] Zodian - 1080 + Music

It is not a problem with this theme specifically, but all themes using 1 background image with a HD resolution by system in ES.
Vram is filled with less that 10 systems activated, and ES crash during boot (white screen of death - WOSD).

The issue is that the zoid theme used a file with resolution 1920x1080, in .jpg and by proper attempt, because I did not find anything referring to WSOD at the time, I did compiling .png from the backgrounds and only then realized that the calculation that ES made was Based on resolution rather than file size.

Hmmm, I will try it again soon enough, I didn't crash on startup, but I'll cycle through all my systems and then load a few games, do some back and forth.

Btw, if the 1080 images do cause a problem (which I'm assuming they will), what about 720 resolution, is that still too high?

720p: about 20
480p: about 40/45
Once vram filled, you'll have a WSOD (White Screen Of Death) in ES

RPi2 with 16 systems. Recalbox installed on an SD card with everything else on my usb key (roms, themes, etc.)

I cycled through all my systems back and forth, then cycled through all the detail screens and then back to the system screens. So far I was unable to crash ES.

But I'll keep trying.... my setup is still a work in progress, thats why I only have 16 systems.

So now I'm wondering....does it have to do with the RESOLUTION of the images, or the FILE SIZES that causes the crash? Hmmmm.....

Nice theme!

About the WSOD. This is the reason i keep background images in my themes on 480p for now , since i want to keep it as stable as possible. One of the mod's pointed me on that on time.

Cropping images for now it is.

I don't understand yet if i install this theme my system will crash. I've got 17 systems on Recalbox right now, will i get WSOD if i install this?

What to do if WSOD? The only solution is format sd card and reinstall all?

SSH connection, then edit your /recalbox/share/system/.emulationstation/es_settings.cfg and rolling back on recalbox theme -> <string name="ThemeSet" value="recalbox" />

@makination If you crash follow @rockaddicted way of resetting your theme back. I've got 16 systems and no crash so far. @azvarel has many more and when he has time he said he will test it and confirm that it does indeed crash on many more systems.
