8bitdo NES 30

Just wondering if anyone here has had luck with pairing their 8bitdo 30 Pro with a Pi 3?  I know 8bitdo controllers connect flawlessly with retropie, but I'd rather use recalbox if I have my choice.  Any help would be appreciated.  I'm on version 4.0 Beta 2 using the latest firmware from 8bitdo. Recalbox does not support bluetooth on Pi 3 yet.

Really looking forward to bluetooth and wifi support.  Hopefully sometime this year I'll be able to start contributing.
