Emulator resolution, ?????

I have just installed and want to run Recalbox from a high end pc to my tv.
But all the emulators are stuck in 640x480 mode, so ugly.
Why is there no configuration file in the menu?
It appears we have to ssh in to change it, but how can i do that when its already running on the same machine.
Looked good this i knew something would go wrong.
