I would like some help about reducing the resolution in-game for N64, because it's lagging a lot when playing.
Currently, it seems to be running at 1080i (cf infos displayed by tv) when running. So I'm trying to set in-game videomode to something smaller.
Because I've read : https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Video-configuration-detailled-(EN) , I've tried editing recalbox.conf and modifying theexisting line to 720p :
global.videomode=CEA 4 HDMI
But with this modification (and a restart), N64 game doesn't not even start : when launching the game (button A on a game), I get a black screen for ~5 seconds, then it returns to list of games.
I've read somewhere on the wiki that this behaviour means that the videomode is not supported, but I'm sure that 720p is supported by my TV (already tested with other devices).
One strange thing that I found : result of tvservice command, cf: https://pastebin.com/4tAP316z
==> only one resolution listed
My setup :
- intel NUC DN2820FY : Atom N2820
- hdmi tv (supporting 720p, 1080i, but not 1080p)
- recalbox PC-64bits 18.02.09
- default configuration (nothing changed after first boot, except explained above)
Does someone have an idea why my setup does not allow other resolution ?
What have I done wrong ? What can I try to do ?
