    • Advantages of moving to 6.0/6.1

What's the most compelling reason to move from 18.07 to 6.1? My current setup runs decent enough. I've read through the general change log. I guess if there is greater compatibility from a MAME perspective as well as other performace improvements, I would make the leap. I'm just looking from input from others here that have moved. What are you seeing? Is it worth it?

Lastly, is there a supported path from 6.0 to 6.1 that doesn't entail installing fresh?

    • RE: Wifi doesnt work on 6.1 (PC X64)

Confirmed issue here. Tested on Optiplex 3040, 3046, 3060. 2018 NUC. I get that some of these platforms weren't probably supposed to run Recalbox but wanted to exemplify the range of systems this issue exists on.

So this leads me to my next question. In general are fixes like this pushed via the built-in update mechanism?

On my working build I'm on the latest version before 6.0 was introduced. I've never seen an update come through the built-in updates.

I'm trying to weigh my options. (Install 6.0, roll with 6.1 and use the above workaround, use my old build and wait)

    • MAME2010 on x86

How do I go about changing the core for MAME from mame2003 to mame2010? Only core option on the frontend is mame078? The readme eludes to there being an option to use 2010 and I've searched through several posts online and haven't been able to figure it out. Lastly, I've tried editing the conf file line mame.core=mame078 to mame2010, mame0139, etc. Any help appreciated! Thanks!
