Some games won't load?

Why is it that a few of my games crash back to the games list when I try to run them? The ones I've noticed with this issue so far are LSD Dream Emulator for the PSX (which I do have the bios for but is a Japanese rom, would that matter?), and Glover for the N64, plus one that I can't remember but I'll update this when I find it. Glover gets a little further in that the first screen with the logo does load, but then it crashes right back to the list. LSD just doesn't boot when I try to start it at all.

I had the same problem but it got fixed when I disabled "Auto Save/Load" in the game settings.
