For a long time now I've wanted to build my own 80's style arcade cabinet. I don't know why...I've never been a gamer. And yet Arcade machines feature fondly in my childhood memory and mesh well with my love nostalgia, technology and making things.

Unfortunately these things are HUGE. Last year a neighbours sit down c**ktail table build inspired me to make something more compatible with our little house...

I present Col's Mini Arcade Cab. Its portable and plugs into a monitor or TV for 70s, 80s & 90's retrogaming goodness. Its powered by the remarkable Raspberry Pi and Recalbox.

There are enough games on board to last a lifetime...Indeed part two of this project is to refine the several thousand games down to something more manageable...top 50 games per console?

      Good times 🙂

              Hello @Colin-Williams

              Beautiful machine, very clean 👍

What is the reference of the power supply? practical for the size.

              RPI3 / 4.1unstable

Thanks all for the kind words 🙂

Happy to share the theme except there is one glaring issue: its not complete or original. I've simply used a mixture of things from other theme projects to create something I like. I only have images for the consoles I have on my box so by no means a full recalbox implementation. With this in mind I'm more than happy to share if people want it 🙂

The power supply is from EBay. Very small and inexpensive. See http://www.ebay.com/itm/261875690150

                  Really nice!
I make such arcade boxes... but not so well finished ^^
Power supplies for raspberry are 5V, and 2.5 or 3A.
                  Isn't it a problem to supply 12A?

                  Regards

@dassoun as long as it is 5V, greater than 2.5A is better... the pi will only use/take what it needs..
