"Start" button not working in N64 games
-
I installed Recalbox on an RPi3 B+ to play N64 games. So far, everything is working fine except for the gamepad. When I start Super Mario 64 or Mario Kart 64, the introduction screen shows a "Press start button" prompt. However, none of the gamepad's buttons seem to work here. On the other hand, in emulationstation the gamepad works flawlessly.
The controller is an 8BitDo SN30 Pro USB. Any idea what might be the reason for this behaviour?
The compatibility list does not mention the device, I would like to make it work nonetheless.
EDIT: Just tested the Logitech F310 Gamepad with the same outcome.
However, this issue did not arise with the Nintento Switch Pro Controller.

So, I just found a solution for the problem. Some custom N64 settings (not sure which ones, since I basically just changed
AnalogDeadzone
andAnalogPeak
for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller) were apparently the reason for the key mapping mess of the USB controllers. When I disabled the custom settings by commenting them out entirely in
recalbox/share/system/recalbox.conf
, the "start" button was fixed:# n64.configfile=dummy
